ONGC Recruitment 2026: CBT 6 September को है — call letter download कर चुके?

ONGC Recruitment 2026 (Advt. No. 2/2026 R&P) की Computer Based Test 6 September 2026 को होने वाली है, और इसका call letter 22 August 2026 को जारी हो चुका है. अगर आपने 52 E1 posts (Engineers + Geologists) के लिए form भरा था, तो अभी सबसे ज़रूरी काम है call letter download करना और CBT pattern के हिसाब से आखिरी दिनों की तैयारी करना.

Category-wise and Branch-wise Vacancy Details

Official notice के अनुसार कुल 52 vacancies पाँच streams में distributed हैं. नीचे exact breakup दिया गया है ताकि आप बिना confusion के अपनी eligibility check कर सकें.

Note: Applied Petroleum Engineering candidates को Petroleum Engineering की 7 vacancies के लिए consider किया जाएगा, जबकि Petroleum Engineering qualification वाले candidates सभी 9 vacancies के लिए eligible हैं. Mechanical Engineering में 1* vacancy carried forward unfilled vacancy है.

ONGC Eligibility Criteria 2026

1) Educational Qualification

• Petroleum Engineering के लिए Graduate Degree in Petroleum Engineering with minimum 60% marks.
• Mechanical Engineering के लिए Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks.
• Chemical Engineering के लिए Graduate Degree in Chemical Engineering with minimum 60% marks.
• Instrumentation Engineering के लिए Graduate Degree in Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 60% marks.
• Geology के लिए Post Graduate Degree in Geology with minimum 60% marks, या M.Sc./M.Tech in Petroleum Geoscience / Petroleum Geology / Geological Technology with minimum 60% marks.
• Distance Learning / part-time qualification तभी valid है जब वह relevant statutory body द्वारा recognized हो.
• No equivalent qualification accepted; उदाहरण के लिए AMIE को engineering graduate degree के equivalent के रूप में नहीं माना जाएगा.
• Candidates who have already acquired the qualification on or before the last date of application will only be considered.
• Final year students इस recruitment के लिए apply नहीं कर सकते, क्योंकि official notice qualification already acquired होने की शर्त रखता है.

2) Age Limit and Relaxation

Important: OBC age and fee relaxation strictly Non-Creamy Layer certificate holders के लिए है. Creamy Layer OBC candidates को General माना जाएगा.

Official notice के अनुसार OBC (NCL) certificate 01.04.2026 या उसके बाद issued होना चाहिए. EWS certificate भी 01.04.2026 या उसके बाद का होना चाहिए.

3) Who can apply?

• Indian citizens और relevant reservation rules के अनुसार eligible candidates apply कर सकते हैं.
• Candidates को one academic/engineering stream के लिए ही application submit करनी चाहिए.
• Multiple applications होने पर latest application final माना जाएगा.
• No category change once the form is submitted.

ONGC Salary 2026: Pay Scale, Cafeteria and In-hand Estimate

ONGC को Maharatna PSU इसलिए कहा जाता है क्योंकि इसकी compensation structure strong है. Official notice में E1 level के लिए ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 basic pay scale दिया गया है, साथ में 3% annual increment और 35% allowances under Cafeteria Approach मिलती हैं.

Note: In-hand salary हमेशा city, accommodation choice, tax, deductions और allowance structure पर depend करेगी. इसलिए gross CTC और take-home को same नहीं मानना चाहिए.

ONGC Selection Process: CBT vs GATE route

Current active notice CBT route use करता है. इसी notice में GATE score की जरूरत नहीं है. GATE-based recruitment ONGC में दूसरी notification cycle में आती है, इसलिए दोनों routes को mix नहीं करना चाहिए.

CBT Pattern

CBT duration 2 hours है और no negative marking है. PwBD candidates को compensatory time और prescribed conditions के अनुसार scribe की सुविधा मिल सकती है.

Shortlisting के लिए General, EWS और OBC candidates को CBT में minimum 45% marks, जबकि SC/ST/PwBD candidates को minimum 40% marks चाहिए. Interview qualifying marks General/EWS/OBC के लिए 60% (9/15) और SC/ST/PwBD के लिए 40% (6/15) हैं.

CBT के बाद interview के लिए shortlisting 1:5 ratio में CBT score के basis पर होगी — अगर कई candidates minimum cut-off पर tie करते हैं, तो सबको shortlist किया जाएगा. Shortlisted candidates को Group Discussion में भी बुलाया जा सकता है, लेकिन GD qualifying नहीं है. अगर CBT multiple sessions में होता है, तो scores normalize (equate) किए जाएँगे ताकि किसी एक session के paper के difficult होने का नुकसान न हो. Interview call list और result की dates अभी तक जारी नहीं हुए — जल्द घोषित होंगे.

CBT Call Letter (Admit Card) Download — 6 September 2026

रुको — पहले ये समझ लीजिए: इस बार ONGC का CBT conduct IBPS करा रहा है, इसलिए call letter ongcindia.com पर नहीं, IBPS registration portal पर आया है. Valid form वाले candidates को call letter 22 August 2026 को जारी हो चुका है. Download के steps ये हैं:

PwBD candidates: अगर scribe चाहिए, तो call letter के साथ दिए गए Medical certificate format और Joint Undertaking form के हिसाब से documents पहले से तैयार रखें. CBT में PwBD candidates को compensatory time (20 minutes per hour) का provision मिलता है.

Call letter download या login में कोई दिक्कत हो तो IBPS grievance portal (cgrs.ibps.in) पर query register करें.

Application Window बंद — अब आगे क्या करें?

Advt 2/2026 के लिए online registration 17 July से 31 July 2026 (23:59 Hours) तक थी, जो अब बंद हो चुकी है. अगर आप form नहीं भर पाए, तो इस cycle में अब entry नहीं है. मैं ये इसलिए बोल रहा हूँ क्योंकि हर साल बहुत से लोग last date निकलने के बाद search करते हैं और उम्मीद करते हैं कि form दोबारा खुलेगा — form दोबारा नहीं खुलता. ONGC के CBT-based और GATE-based दोनों तरह के cycles time-to-time आते रहते हैं, इसलिए अगला मौका पकड़ने के लिए official recruitment notice page पर नज़र रखें.

ONGC CBT result कब आएगा?

Result और interview call list की dates अभी तक जारी नहीं हुए — जल्द घोषित होंगे. CBT score के basis पर 1:5 ratio में interview के लिए shortlisting होगी.

CBT के बाद अगला step क्या है?

Shortlisted candidates को Group Discussion (non-qualifying) और Personal Interview के लिए बुलाया जाएगा. Final merit CBT (85) + Interview (15) से बनेगी, और medical fitness clear होने के बाद ही appointment offer मिलेगा.

क्या ONGC Recruitment 2026 में GATE score चाहिए?

नहीं. Current active recruitment Advt. No. 2/2026 के तहत CBT-based है, इसलिए इस notification में GATE score required नहीं है.

क्या final year student apply कर सकता है?

नहीं. Official notice कहता है कि candidate ने required qualification last date से पहले already acquire कर ली होनी चाहिए.

ONGC E1 salary कितनी है?

Official pay scale ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 है. Cafeteria, DA, HRA और अन्य benefits के साथ CTC लगभग ₹26 Lacs तक जाती है.

Engineering और Geology के लिए age limit क्या है?

General/EWS candidates के लिए Engineering में max age 26 years और Geology में 27 years है. OBC, SC/ST, PwBD और ex-servicemen के लिए relaxation अलग है.

क्या negative marking है?

नहीं. CBT में no negative marking है.

CBT में कितने questions होंगे?

कुल 85 questions होंगे: domain 40, GA 10, aptitude 25 और English 10.

Shortlisting कैसे होगी?

CBT score के basis पर candidates को interview के लिए short-list किया जाएगा. Final merit CBT 85 + Interview 15 पर बनेगी.

क्या OBC relaxation सबको मिलती है?

नहीं. OBC benefit केवल Non-Creamy Layer certificate holders के लिए है. Creamy Layer candidates General माने जाते हैं.

GEN/OBC/EWS के लिए ₹1000 + charges. SC/ST/PwBD के लिए no charges.

Final Notes for Aspirants

मैंने कई बार देखा है कि candidates CBT pattern पढ़े बिना random questions practice करने लगते हैं. ONGC का paper 85 questions का है — 40 questions आपके domain (branch) के, 10 General Awareness, 25 aptitude और 10 English के होते हैं. इसलिए सबसे पहले अपने branch subject पर पकड़ बनाइए, बाकी sections aptitude और GA से balance कीजिए.

Exam तक का plan: call letter और Information Hand-out download कर लें, syllabus PDF से topics revise करें, और एक full-length mock (85 Q, 2 hours) ज़रूर दें. CBT में negative marking नहीं है — attempt करने से मत डरिए, बस time management संभालिए. Result और interview की dates का इंतज़ार official notice पर ही करें.
